Weekly Notes - (29/2024)

This week: Lots of tail wags and zoomies, a healthy dose of screen time, and some intriguing rabbit holes explored.

  • ⚙️ Juggling work and a new puppy like Tars is still tricky for me. With his energy and my attempt to context switch too frequently, I missed a few meetings. Off-late, I discovered a valuable focus technique in the video that's made a big difference. Personally, it boils down to "finishing what you started, even if its boring" – a trick that works well with me.

  • 🦴 Tars had an exciting visit with his family. He met his cousin BB, and his aunt and uncle, Jagan and Pavi. BB also helped Tars adjust some of his boisterous behaviours. The visit wasn't all tail wags and belly rubs – he also got to experience his first bike ride with Hemanth and me, which surprisingly was more calm and enjoyable.

  • 📻 Cracking the code of canine behavior is going to get easier, thanks to a thoughtful gift from my friend Ram - a book about understanding dogs. On that note, she also hosts an amazing podcast named Tales of Comfort. It's filled with calming stories that I find super helpful to unwind after a stressful work or puppy wrangling.

  • ⏏️ My blog recently went offline due to a missed AWS payment. I have tightened up my email filtering and payment schedule to prevent future issues. This is a personal learning for me to equally focus on streamlining my digital life.

  • 🕵️I recently watched a Netflix documentary called, Fantastic Fungi. While documentaries can sometimes get a little carried away with potential benefits, especially when it comes to medicine, the historical perspective was something to take home. It actually reminded me of a recent video by Krish Ashok on fungi. There is so much to learn about these invisible layers beneath us.

  • 🎚️I follow Mahesh Shenoy videos on Physics. His explanations are clear and engaging, making the learning process much more enjoyable. I liked the one about speed of light.
